Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of the Progression Racing League (PRL) app, website and league services. By creating a PRL account you agree to them.
Effective date: 2026-05-11
Version: 2026-05-04
1. Who can use PRL
You must be at least 16 years oldto create a PRL account. If you are under 16 in a jurisdiction where parental consent is required for digital services (Denmark’s threshold), you must have your parent’s or guardian’s permission and they accept these terms on your behalf.
You must have a valid Zwift account, and a Zwift-compatible setup, to participate in races. We don’t sell Zwift; we work alongside it.
2. Your account
- You’re responsible for keeping your password safe. Use a unique one; we screen new passwords against the HaveIBeenPwned breach list, but we can’t catch every credential that’s already in your password manager.
- Don’t share your account. Sanctioned shared accounts (e.g. family ones) are at our discretion — talk to us first.
- One account per person. Multi-accounting to dodge moderation or gain a competitive advantage is grounds for permanent ban.
- If you suspect your account is compromised, change your password and email us immediately.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Cheat on the platform — including sandbagging, fake power data, using bots, impersonating another rider, or any other behaviour that defrauds the standings.
- Use scripts or bots against the PRL API, signup pages or app. We rate-limit and challenge with captcha; circumventing those is a breach of these terms.
- Harass, threaten, dox, or hate-speech other riders or staff.
- Post content (chat, forum, polls, media) that is illegal, defamatory, or violates someone else’s IP. We can remove anything we judge to be in this bucket.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape or republish race results outside of what the league publishes publicly. Standings and stage results are public; we ask that you link to them, not copy them.
- Probe security defences, attempt to access other riders’ data, or test the platform for vulnerabilities without coordinating with us first (we welcome responsible disclosure — see Contact).
4. League rules
These Terms of Service govern your relationship with PRL as a platform. The competitive rules of the league — what counts as a legal result, how categories work, transfer windows, points system, etc. — are documented separately inside the app under Rules and may change between seasons. You agree to follow whichever season rules are in force at the time of your participation.
5. Zwift and other third parties
PRL is not affiliated with Zwift, Inc. Zwift is a registered trademark of Zwift, Inc. We import your race data from Zwift via their public APIs and your own ride uploads; your relationship with Zwift is governed by Zwift’s terms.
The same applies to other third-party services we integrate with — Stripe, Apple, Google, Cloudflare, etc. Their terms apply to your use of their services; ours apply to your use of PRL.
6. Your content
You keep ownership of everything you post (messages, forum threads, team names, jersey designs, avatar art, etc.). You grant PRL a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display and distribute that content inside the league as needed to operate the service. The licence ends when you delete the content or your account — except where the content is part of league history (e.g. stage results, race briefings), in which case it survives in pseudonymised form (your name removed) so the historical record stays intact.
Don’t post content you don’t have the right to post. If a third party reports that your content infringes their IP, we’ll usually take it down while we sort it out.
7. Payments and refunds
PRL is free during the public beta. When paid features go live (subscriptions, team budgets, prize pools, etc.), payments are processed by Stripe and subject to Stripe’s terms in addition to these. We’ll publish a separate refund and cancellation policy before any money changes hands.
Financial records are retained for 5 yearsafter the end of the financial year, as required by Danish bookkeeping law (bogføringsloven §10).
8. Termination and account deletion
You can delete your account any time from Settings → Privacy & Data → Delete my account. We hold the request for 30 days (so you can undo accidental deletions), then run an automated erasure that:
- Removes your email, password, profile data, push tokens, voice prefs, notification prefs, consent records, and all other directly-identifying data.
- Pseudonymises your historical contributions — race results, contracts, team membership, forum posts — by replacing your name with a “[deleted rider]” tombstone so the league’s record stays intact.
- Deletes your authentication record from our identity provider (Supabase Auth).
We can suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms. Common cases: cheating, harassment, payment fraud, repeated acceptable-use breaches. We’ll usually warn first; serious breaches can be instant.
9. Warranty and liability
PRL is provided “as is” during the beta. We aim for high availability but don’t guarantee uptime, error-free operation, or that race results are processed instantly. If we mess up a result we will reasonably correct it; we cannot guarantee specific outcomes from your participation in the league.
To the maximum extent permitted by Danish law, our aggregate liability to you is limited to whatever you’ve paid us in the previous 12 months (zero, during the beta). We do not exclude liability for gross negligence, intentional wrongdoing, or anything else that cannot be excluded under mandatory consumer law.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app and by email; you’ll be asked to acknowledge the new version before continuing to use PRL. The version string at the top of this page bumps for every change.
11. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of Denmark, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes that can’t be resolved by friendly discussion can be brought before a Danish court. If you’re an EU consumer based outside Denmark, mandatory consumer-protection law of your country of residence applies in addition to (not instead of) the above.
The Online Dispute Resolution platform of the European Commission is available for consumer disputes: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
